Synopsis:

« Cœur a vif » is a movie about the way a couple expresses their inner anger, each his own way of dealing with the matter: one externalizes and the other internalizes

Eva and Simon are in love.

Eva is a skilled cellist that has yet to find the way to express her true self and feelings through her music.

Simon isn’t able to keep a job for more than a couple of weeks because of his hot headedness and explosive anger. Thus he keeps getting fired time and time again.

But when they are together, all those problems seem to evaporate.

Eva is given the opportunity to prove herself and have a chance to enter a prestigious and renowned orchestra.

Trying to protect Eva, Simon will see red once again but his rage tantrum will go a little too far…

Statement of Intent :

The movie will have a distorted narrative structure mostly resembling a song partition : it is thusly cut in couplets and choruses that will align with the sequences shown.

Music is the nucleus of the movie. Simon embodies Hardcore music and in the same way Eva does the Classical genre.

The directing style will accentuate the couples beautiful and strong bond.

The final scene of the film is an extremely violent long shot. Every one of the violent punches thrown by Simon will correspond with a climactically bass beat.
